Mechatronics and microsystems

Enter the challenging world of the Delft Centre for Mechatronics and Microsystems.

Increasingly intelligent systems with enhanced functionality. Extremely fast and precise production machinery. Tiny, multifunctional precision instruments for surgery... all concepts that call for new ways of integrating mechatronic systems with microsystems. This results in miniaturised electro-mechanical systems with a superior performance. The Delft Centre for Mechatronics and Microsystems deals with the fundamental aspects of their design, modelling, optimisation and production. The Delft Centre for Mechatronics and Microsystems aims to research and explore the possibilities of small-scale functions and the benefits generated at macro level. DCMM research is focused around four interdisciplinary research themes:
